Tatting is a creative technique for handcrafting a durable lace from a series of knots and loops. This process can be done using a needle or a shuttle tool. In this class, you will learn to use a shuttle tool to create beautiful designs! Learn all about rings, chains, double-stitches and picots (which joins together the rings and chains.) Tatting is an art form used to make lace edging, decorative collars, doilies, and accessories. Modern tatting includes jewelry making and other home design trends. This vintage lacework practice is experiencing a resurgence of popularity with today's young crafters! "What's old is new again!" If you've ever wanted to learn something your great-grandmothers may have practiced, now is the time! Jennifer is on a mission to make sure these beautiful art forms are taught to the next generation. Join us in this fun and creative class for all ages - all experience levels!
